The 7 day Golden triangle tour is aimed at giving tourists an exotic experience of the Northern India by train. The North of India with its culture, food and extravaganza is a delight to experience. It is a tour inclusive of the historical as well as the urban modes of life and lifestyle of the three cities of the national capital, Delhi, home to the Taj Mahal, Agra and the Pink city Jaipur. One gets to revisit various aspects of life in India and view and perceive her for her beauty, strength and culture. A true voyage through the various phases of Indian history is guaranteed.
Our representatives will receive the guests at the airport or railway stations as per the guests’ mode of transportation at the arrival in Delhi. The evening and the first night the guests are free to go around the city or rest at the hotel.
The Delhi city tour starts after breakfast at the hotel. The tour is divided into two parts – Old Delhi and New Delhi tour. In Old Delhi leg of the tour the guests will visit the Red Fort, the building that has been part of the Indian legacy for centuries since the Mughal Empire. One can pay homage to the ‘Father of the Nation’ Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat and also visit the largest mosque in India – the Jama Masjid. New Delhi sight-seeing will include visits to the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret of the world, the Humayun’s Tomb. Then a drive past the serene yet powerful place of India the Rajpath, and a visit to the India Gate and drive along the Parliament, the President’s Residence and the Diplomatic Enclave before ending the Delhi tour and resting for the night at the hotel.
The third day starts very early as the guests will be picked up from the hotel to board the Jaipur bound air-conditioned superfast train from Delhi railway station. On arrival at Jaipur the guests will be taken to the hotel and after some freshening up the sight-seeing will begin. City Palace is the beginning point for the tour of Jaipur, it is at the heart of the city and the walled area blends the Rajasthani and the Mughal architecture and houses the City palace Museum, the Shri Govind Dev temple and the Chandra Mahal. The next stop is Jantar Mantar and is the one of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II, this one is the largest and the well preserved one, which has the astronomical instruments that are still used. Hawa Mahal is a five story structure, built by Pratap Singh in 1799. Also known as the Palace of winds and is of the highlights of the Jaipur tour. The pink plastered sandstone with elaborate balconies and the trelliswork would just mesmerize you. The tour of day three ends here with a night stay at the hotel in Jaipur.
The day starts after a leisurely breakfast with a morning excursion of the Amber Fort Palace on Elephant ride. The Amber Fort Palace was built in 1592 and was started by Raja Mann Singh I and his descendent Jai Singh I completed it. One of the most amazing forts of Rajasthan merges the Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture beautifully. Next on the list is Jaigarh Fort, which is kept as the way it was since the medieval times. The military structures are still intact and the palaces, granary, the watch tower, mounted canon known as the Jai Ban, still the largest in the country only adds awe to the entire experience. The tour would be incomplete without the visit to the famous Sheesh Mahal that glitters with mirrors. The sight-seeing of the city ends with a visit to the Laxmi Narayan Temple in the south of Jaipur. It is also known Birla Mandir and temple is a reminder secular tradition of India. The guests head back to the hotel and enjoy the folk dance and songs of Rajasthan.
The morning the guests are free to pursue their own activities that is shopping or going around the city on their own before they are taken to the railway station for their journey to Agra. There is an overnight stay at Agra
There is an option to see the sunrise at the Taj Mahal for the guests and then return to the hotel for breakfast and once again head back to the pristine white marbled mausoleum for a better exploration. Taj Mahal has become synonymous with eternal love and was built by the fifth Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved second wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631. The Taj is an architectural landmark and took 22 years to be built. Agra Fort on the other hand would remind you of the various incidents of the Mughal Empire, but the rustic red-sandstone construction on the banks of Yamuna River is another Mughal masterpiece. Then a short tour of the Itmad-ud Daullah the tomb built by Empress Noorjehan in the remembrance of her father. The guests are then taken to the railway station for the journey to Delhi and the dinner is served in the train. The overnight stay is at a Delhi hotel.
Today guests will be transferred to Delhi to board their return flight or train and surely they will have unforgettable memories in there busy life.
